I'm a big fan of the "domestic" arts and using related projects to enrich my life, and the lives of people in my family. I create projects for myself (that revolve around my family and home) just to see if I can do them.
I have been inspired by the simplicity of japanese patterns for little girls clothes. I started Plainly Jane Handmade on Etsy after I had sewn more clothes than my daughter could wear or that could be given as gifts. I strive to make simple and understated children's clothes without the typical frill overkill.
